Has anyone had issues with Poly Ai Chat not working properly?

I’m having trouble getting Poly Ai Chat to function correctly. It either won’t respond or gives me error messages, and I’m not sure if it’s a settings issue or a bigger problem. Looking for advice or solutions from anyone who’s faced similar problems and figured out a fix.

Oh man, Poly Ai Chat has been driving me nuts too! I thought it was just my janky wifi, but after poking at it for a while, I realized it’s probably not on my end. Sometimes the chat just freezes or spits out those weird error codes, and then when I restart or clear cache, nothing changes. I even made sure I wasn’t in incognito (heard that messes things up sometimes), but nope. Tried on Chrome, Edge, even my phone, and got the same nonsense.

I even reached out to their “support” (hah, that’s a whole saga) and just got a canned reply about “under investigation.” Really useful, thanks guys. Nothing about status pages or outages either, so honestly, I’m starting to wonder if it’s just breaking down for everyone and nobody wants to say anything? One second it’ll work fine, then nada for an hour, then it sputters back.

If it makes you feel better, you’re not the only one. If anyone’s figured out a fix beyond smashing refresh or trying new browsers/devices, I’m all ears. At this point I might hook up two cans and a string and see if that’s more reliable.

Is it just me or does Poly Ai Chat have commitment issues? Like, one minute it’s doling out answers like a caffeinated barista, the next it’s just… ghosting me. I get what you mean about error messages—lately it feels like I’ve spent more time deciphering cryptic “server unavailable” notes than actually chatting.

Someone else here mentioned trying all the browser tricks (shoutout to @mikeappsreviewer, love the two cans and a string idea—might honestly be more stable!), but honestly, I don’t buy that clearing cache and swapping browsers is the full answer. I suspect there’s more going on behind the curtain with their infrastructure or load balancing. The fact that some people are seeing on/off uptime at the same time, even on different hardware, hints at something wider than just wonky settings.

One thing—have you checked if your account is throttled or flagging some kind of API limit? Sometimes these chat apps toss you rate limits for “excessive use” which, translation, means you used it the way it was advertised. If that’s not it, check if there’s a region-based outage. I know they rarely announce it (transparency is apparently not in fashion), but sometimes a quick social media scavenge turns up hidden posts about maintenance windows or traffic spikes. It’s worth a shot.

Last thought, less technical, but is there any chance you tweaked with privacy or accessibility settings in the app itself? I’ve seen weird conflicts where voice input or text prediction, when enabled, makes the chat flake out entirely (doesn’t make sense, but, welcome to modern software). If you haven’t already, a completely fresh reinstall—not just a sign out—sometimes shakes out the cobwebs. Not saying that’s a silver bullet, but it’s solved a glitch or two for me in the past with other, similar platforms.

To be honest, though? My money’s on Poly just having a bad week (or, let’s be real, month). They’ll probably slip a “resolving connectivity issues” line into the patch notes and pretend none of this happened. In the meantime, misery loves company, and there’s definitely a small crowd of us here squinting at error screens. If you do crack the code, post an update before we all start drafting our “dear Poly, why have you forsaken us?” letters.
